merlin is basically a show where the writers spend literally most of the time ramming the words “destiny” and “fate” and “you are each other’s other half” and “you need each other to survive” and “intertwined” and “cannot exist without each other” about merlin and arthur down the audience’s throats and then spends the other 2% of the time getting really pissy about people who think that they might actually love each other because NO GUYS THAT’S NOT WHAT WE’RE TRYING TO SAY GOD DON’T YOU GET IT
